Scrolling Through Text
The pages you view in a course are of a fixed size, and as such some pages require 'scrolling' where the text would otherwise not fit the page size.
In such cases, two arrows will appear alongside the text. By moving your mouse over the 'up' or 'down' arrows the text will move up or down.

Demonstrations
Each course contains a number of animated demonstrations that provide a walk through of how something may be done. You will see a box appear on the page that will have a button labelled 'start demo' (this appears once the demonstration has been loaded). Click on this button to start the animation. Once the animation has finished, another button will appear entitled 'restart animation'. Click this to restart the animation, or move on to the next page of the course module by clicking 'Next'.
These animations are presented using Macromedia Flash and require version 6 or greater of the Flash Player software to be installed on your computer. If you do not have Flash installed or are running a previous version, you will see a 'Macromedia Flash' logo and an instruction to click on the logo to download the Flash Player from the Macromedia website (as illustrated on the right).

Quizzes
At the end of each course module after the course summary page, you will have a chance to test your understanding of what you have learnt from the course by answering four multiple choice questions. You will find each question on it's own page. Each question will have four available answers and all you need to do is select the circle next to the answer you think is correct. If the answer you select is right, a green tick with the word 'Correct' appears on the right hand side of the page. If however your answer is wrong, a red cross and the word 'Incorrect' will appear along with an explanation of the correct answer.
